Hi, I'm Alex, the owner of GALAXSAW Handyman Services. After working as a commercial carpenter on large-scale construction projects—including a new Nike facility in Beaverton—I discovered that I enjoy the personal side of construction: helping homeowners, landlords, and local businesses with smaller projects that need attention and quality workmanship.

Today, I provide reliable handyman services throughout the Portland metro area. I specialize in small residential and commercial projects that many larger contractors don't take on, including repairs and installations that can typically be completed in four hours or less. My experience includes electrical and plumbing fixture replacements, PEX-A and PEX-B plumbing work, door lock and hardware installation, door jamb repairs, and many other home maintenance and repair services.

I am proud to be part of the Home Depot Pro Services contractor network and have completed projects for local organizations, including Reynolds School District. I am licensed, bonded, and insured through the Oregon Construction Contractors Board (CCB #233510).

Whether you are a homeowner, landlord, or property manager, my goal is simple: provide dependable service, clear communication, and quality repairs you can trust.

Thank you for visiting GALAXSAW Handyman Services. I look forward to helping with your next project.

Modern Bike Storage Solutions

Today's bike storage options can do much more than simply get a bicycle off the floor. Wall-mounted bike racks, vertical storage systems, ceiling-mounted solutions, and bike storage sheds can help make better use of limited space in a home, apartment, garage, or other storage area.

GALAXSAW can install a wide variety of bike racks and bike storage solutions, from a straightforward wall-mounted rack to a more customized storage setup. We can also assemble bike storage sheds and other ready-to-assemble bicycle storage structures according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Bike Rack Installation

If you already purchased a bike rack and need help installing it, GALAXSAW can handle the installation and make sure the rack is properly positioned and securely attached to the appropriate wall structure.

Before installation, it is important to consider the type of wall, available mounting surface, location of studs or other suitable attachment points, the weight of the rack and bicycles, and the amount of clearance needed around the stored bikes. Proper placement can make the difference between a bike storage solution that is convenient to use and one that becomes difficult to access.

We can install bike racks in homes, apartments, garages, and other appropriate residential spaces. If you already have a particular rack in mind, sending us the product information or a photo before scheduling can help us understand the installation requirements.

Custom Bike Rack Wall Protection

A bike rack does not have to look like an object simply attached to an otherwise finished wall. If you want to create a more intentional and finished bike storage area, GALAXSAW can modify the wall behind the rack before installing it.

One popular option is adding an approximately 8-foot-tall protective panel to the wall behind the bike rack. Wood is a popular choice because it can add warmth and visual interest while creating a defined area for the bike storage system. The panel also provides a protective surface that can help shield the wall from dirt, tire marks, scratches, and everyday contact from bicycles.

Wood is not the only option. Depending on the space and the look you want, other materials such as vinyl or aluminum may also be considered. The appropriate material depends on the existing wall, the desired appearance, the bike rack design, and how the area will be used.

This type of modification can turn a basic bike rack installation into a more customized storage feature that looks intentional rather than temporary.

Bike Storage for Small Spaces

Bike storage can be especially challenging when floor space is limited. A properly positioned wall-mounted rack can make use of otherwise unused wall space while keeping bicycles organized and easier to access.

For apartments, garages, entry areas, and smaller homes, the location of the rack is particularly important. We can work with you to determine a practical installation location based on the rack you selected and the available wall space.

If you have multiple bikes, unusual bike sizes, or a specific storage arrangement in mind, let us know before scheduling so we can consider the project as a whole rather than treating each rack as an isolated installation.

Bike Storage Shed Assembly

If your preferred solution is an outdoor bike storage shed rather than a wall-mounted rack, GALAXSAW can also provide bike storage shed assembly for ready-to-assemble products.

As with other assembled structures, the manufacturer's instructions, supplied components, and site conditions determine what can be completed as part of the assembly. The location should be prepared and suitable for the particular shed before assembly begins.

General or Custom Handyman Service?

A straightforward bike rack installation falls under our general handyman services. If you want something more customized—such as installing a protective wall panel, modifying the storage area, or creating a more finished bike storage solution—the project falls under our custom handyman services.

If you're not sure which category your project belongs in, that's not a problem. Send us a description of what you would like to accomplish, along with photos of the space and the bike rack or storage system you have selected. We can help determine what type of service is appropriate.

GALAXSAW provides bike rack installation, bike storage assembly, and customized bike storage solutions in Portland, Oregon and the surrounding metro area.

Whether you simply need a bike rack securely installed or want to create a dedicated and better-looking bicycle storage area, we can help turn an unused wall or storage space into something more functional.
