Hi, I'm Alex, the owner of GALAXSAW Handyman Services. After working as a commercial carpenter on large-scale construction projects—including a new Nike facility in Beaverton—I discovered that I enjoy the personal side of construction: helping homeowners, landlords, and local businesses with smaller projects that need attention and quality workmanship.

Today, I provide reliable handyman services throughout the Portland metro area. I specialize in small residential and commercial projects that many larger contractors don't take on, including repairs and installations that can typically be completed in four hours or less. My experience includes electrical and plumbing fixture replacements, PEX-A and PEX-B plumbing work, door lock and hardware installation, door jamb repairs, and many other home maintenance and repair services.

Removing a disposal may require changes to the sink drain configuration, depending on how the existing system is installed.

What If My Kitchen Does Not Have Electricity for a Garbage Disposal?

This is a common question when homeowners want to install a garbage disposal where there has never been one before.

The answer depends on what electrical service is already available under the sink and how the existing kitchen wiring is configured.

In some situations, the existing electrical setup may be suitable for the new disposal. In other situations, additional electrical work may be necessary.

GALAXSAW can evaluate the existing setup and handle the portions of the project that are within our licensing and scope of work. If additional electrical work is required that falls outside our license, we can let you know that a properly licensed electrician will be needed for that portion of the project.
