Hi, I'm Alex, the owner of GALAXSAW Handyman Services. After working as a commercial carpenter on large-scale construction projects—including a new Nike facility in Beaverton—I discovered that I enjoy the personal side of construction: helping homeowners, landlords, and local businesses with smaller projects that need attention and quality workmanship.
Today, I provide reliable handyman services throughout the Portland metro area. I specialize in small residential and commercial projects that many larger contractors don't take on, including repairs and installations that can typically be completed in four hours or less. My experience includes electrical and plumbing fixture replacements, PEX-A and PEX-B plumbing work, door lock and hardware installation, door jamb repairs, and many other home maintenance and repair services.
I am proud to be part of the Home Depot Pro Services contractor network and have completed projects for local organizations, including Reynolds School District. I am licensed, bonded, and insured through the Oregon Construction Contractors Board (CCB #233510).
Whether you are a homeowner, landlord, or property manager, my goal is simple: provide dependable service, clear communication, and quality repairs you can trust.
Thank you for visiting GALAXSAW Handyman Services. I look forward to helping with your next project.
Greenhouse Assembly
A greenhouse kit can look straightforward when it is sitting in the box, but assembling one correctly can take considerably more time and patience than many people expect.
GALAXSAW provides greenhouse assembly services in Portland, Oregon and the surrounding Portland metro area for residential customers who have purchased a greenhouse kit and need help putting it together.
I can assemble many types of prefabricated greenhouse kits, including smaller backyard and residential greenhouses, depending on the size, design, materials, and manufacturer's assembly requirements.
Greenhouse Kit Assembly
Greenhouses are made from many individual parts that need to be assembled in the correct order. Frames, panels, doors, vents, brackets, fasteners, tracks, and other components often have to be installed precisely for everything to fit together properly.
A mistake early in the assembly can create problems later, particularly when panels or frame sections are installed before the structure is properly aligned.
GALAXSAW can take care of the assembly process so you don't have to spend your weekend sorting hundreds of parts and trying to determine which piece goes where.
Polycarbonate & Panel Greenhouses
Many modern greenhouse kits use polycarbonate panels rather than traditional glass.
These panels can be lightweight but still require careful handling during assembly. Correct orientation, positioning, fastening, and alignment are important for a finished greenhouse that looks and functions as intended.
If your greenhouse includes polycarbonate panels, please have the manufacturer's assembly instructions available whenever possible.
Greenhouse Doors, Vents & Hardware
Greenhouse kits can include sliding doors, hinged doors, roof vents, automatic vent openers, shelving systems, and other accessories.
These components often require adjustment during assembly so that doors open smoothly and panels line up correctly.
GALAXSAW can assemble appropriate manufacturer-supplied greenhouse components that are included with the kit or purchased as compatible accessories.
Greenhouse Assembly on an Existing Base
The surface underneath a greenhouse can be just as important as the greenhouse itself.
Depending on the manufacturer's design, the greenhouse may need to be installed on a specific base, foundation, frame, or prepared surface.
If you already have a suitable base or foundation, GALAXSAW can evaluate whether the greenhouse assembly is appropriate for the existing setup.
However, constructing a new concrete foundation, major structural base, retaining wall, or other substantial site preparation is a different type of project and may require additional work or a specialized contractor.
Greenhouse Assembly vs. Greenhouse Construction
This service is intended primarily for assembly of prefabricated greenhouse kits.
There is an important difference between assembling a greenhouse that comes with manufacturer-designed components and building a greenhouse structure from raw materials.
Kit assembly involves following the manufacturer's design and instructions. Custom greenhouse construction may involve structural engineering, foundation work, permitting, weather considerations, and other requirements.
If you already purchased a greenhouse kit, send us the manufacturer's information and photos of the proposed installation location.
Small & Residential Greenhouses
Because GALAXSAW is a one-person handyman service, the size and complexity of the greenhouse matter.
I can evaluate smaller residential greenhouse kits for assembly, but very large commercial greenhouses, extensive agricultural structures, or projects requiring multiple workers may fall outside the scope of this service.
Before scheduling, please provide the greenhouse model, dimensions, and manufacturer's information whenever possible.
Greenhouse Accessories
Some greenhouse owners also purchase accessories such as:
-
Shelving
-
Plant racks
-
Automatic vent openers
-
Hanging systems
-
Small storage components
-
Additional doors or vents
-
Shade systems
-
Other manufacturer-designed accessories
If you want accessories assembled at the same time as the greenhouse, mention them when requesting service.
Customer-Purchased Greenhouse Kits
You do not need to purchase your greenhouse through GALAXSAW.
If you already have a greenhouse kit, send us:
-
Manufacturer and model
-
Greenhouse dimensions
-
Assembly instructions, if available
-
Photos of the unopened kit or components
-
Photos of the installation location
-
Information about the existing base or foundation
This information makes it much easier to determine whether the project is appropriate for a one-person assembly service.
